Commission Information
Here
are my guidelines and pricing and
payment
information for pictures and sculptures. I know this
seems long and drawn out, but this is for your benefit as well as mine. If you are interested in commissioning a Dragon picture
or sculpture, please read the following carefully before
contacting me
to receive your questionnaire and get the
ball rolling! Don't forget to indicate if you are looking for a
sculpture or picture commission!
1)
Copyright:
All of my art is copyrighted to me and me alone.
The purchase of a commissioned piece does not include signing
over of my copyright to
you. While I will make no claims to the rights for any character you
have created, I still retain all rights to the specific artwork in
question. This includes, but is not limited to, use of the artwork
in a portfolio, or for sale as prints or other merchandise in my
online store.
2) Pictures: I
will email you a questionnaire to fill out and that's what I will
work from. I will send you an email of the initial concept sketch to
check to make sure I have interpreted your answers correctly, make any
changes that might be required and go from there.
Backgrounds: if you have a specific idea for what kind of
environment you want (an ocean setting, forest, in flight
perspective, etc.) and I'll design the background accordingly.
You will be emailed a "sample" of the completed picture for approval and if I come up with something that's just horribly off
from what you had in mind a new background will be designed.
Picture Prints
are 11"x 14" and are
printed using an Epson R1800 printed on Epson Ultra Premium Matte photo
paper. Additional, larger prints ( 16"x20", or 23"x 35")
will be available from the
online
store, as will be framed and matted prints.
While I am currently developing a more comprehensive "Anthro" style (as opposed to
simply bipedal) I don't do Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, or
anything overly humanoid.
Note: If you ask for something I
don't think I can do justice to, I'll say so and try to direct you to an
other artist who might better suit your needs.
Finished
pictures will have a small, unobtrusive signature and date but nothing as
extensive as what I have have on the pictures displayed on this site.
Payment is not required until after the picture is finished,
however you will only receive your print once your payment has
cleared.
Prices below reflect works
with only 1 character. If you want multiple characters
email me for prices.
3) Sculptures:
please be aware that I am only doing "western" Dragons at this time.
Again, I have a questionnaire I will email you to fill out and
that's what I will work from. Large sculptures are made from DAS air drying clay, painted with metallic acrylic
paints,
and mounted on a
wooden base.
A
$30.00, NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required for all sculptures. This deposit will be
applied towards your total purchase price. I will send you an email
notification when the sculpture is complete. The balance must then
be paid within 60 days. You will receive a reminder email after 30
days, and a final notice at 60 days. If you have not contacted me
within 7 days of the final notice the sculpture will be declared
"abandoned" and put up for general sale at the regular price. Should
you decide you still want the sculpture after it has been declared
abandoned, you will be required to purchase it for the full amount ($100
for busts, $125.00 for full bodied sculptures) just like anyone else.
NOTICE: Due to the
high cost of international shipping for large packages, sculpture
commissions are limited to US residents only.
4) Unless agreed
upon in advance and in writing (signed and notarized) between myself and
the client, all artwork done by me is for the client's personal,
noncommercial use only. Commercial use includes the sale,
reproduction, or distribution of my work in any form, or using my
work on a commercial website without written and notarized
permission from me and is strictly prohibited. (Remember, if you're not sure if it's okay to
use something... ask!) Pictures done for
commercial use are going to be much more expensive than the prices I
have listed below and will involve lawyers and contracts. So
be sure this is what you really want...
5) The purchasing of
any commissioned work indicates that you have read and agree to all of the
above information
My
preferred method of payment is via PayPal.
However, I will accept U.S. Money Orders if prior arrangements are made.
If you would prefer to pay for your commission with a Money Order be sure
to request this in your initial email.
